The benefit of drinking water is something that is not taken very seriously even after recent researches by scientists and awareness spread through social media. To be more detailed and shed some light on the subject, people in India and other Asian countries have known the benefits of drinking further more from benefits from drinking water from copper vessels. Ancient Ayurvedic scriptures have stated many health benefits of storing and drinking water in copper vessels. The current medical studies fully support this Ancient Ayurvedic practice. Recently, the U.S Environmental Protection Agency registered copper as the only solid surface to kill bacteria that might pose a threat to human health.

I come from a family where storing water in brass and copper vessels was passed on from generations and at the time i thought of it as another blind traditions forced onto the next generation and had no clue as to why my mom cook food in brass vessel and why water is stored either in copper or clay pot.
for me this is how u have ll things in kitchen.

As i grew up this stayed a mystery to me until i moved out and noticed that this was not a common thing because of the fancy kitchenware at my friends and in-law's places and since i did not know the importance of copper at that time, i got easily carried away and bought some fancy vessels, thinking that my mom was stuck in the past. Gradually after years i felt like something was imperfect with my lifestyle, i was falling sick more frequently, becoming lethargic and my attention span was becoming short and then i would see my mom and grandmother, still fit and running. In all the years i have been with them i have hardly ever heard of the falling sick, a few wrinkles here and there due to age but still more active than me.

So first i thought it was because in their times vegetables were more organic, healthy and fresh and all we have is manufactured food, but only later did i realize that its not only the food but also the habits you inhibit in your daily life. Its been a few years since i have been carrying this tradition forward; on and off.

I have observed quite a few things after drinking water stored in a Copperpot,  which i would like to share with all of you. In the longer run i noticed that i wasn't falling ill that often, i had become way more active than before and many more such things and because i'm inquisitive i went ahead and did a little research and found that when water is stored in a copper vessel overnight or for over eight hours, a very small amount of copper ions gets dissolved into the water. This process is called Oligodynamic effect which has the ability to destroy a wide range of harmful microbes, molds, fungi etc.

Drinking water from copper vessels also stimulates bowel movements in the morning which is will keep your digestive system to perform better and set metabolism .
