SEA, SANDS AND ME.

Everyone has a place where they go to escape from all the pressures and worries of life. There is always that one spot that can soothe all your problems and troubles in times of stress. For me, beach is the ultimate cure to all my problems. Here I feel the tides take away my worries with them.

As I stroll along the beach I can feel the soft smooth sand beneath my feet. I am taken in by the soothing atmosphere that surrounds me. Closing my eyes, letting myself absorb the blistering rays of the sun on a scorching summer day. I am comforted by the sounds of the ocean; the rhythmic pounding of the waves repressing my worries. When I look into the cloudless cerulean blue sky and see the perfection of life I feel like a child caught up by the spell that the sea has cast upon me and holding me in its net of mysticism forever.

I often want to be a seagull seemingly drifting endlessly in the wind without caring for the world, be a free soul filled with calm and peace. These whispers from waves tell me so many things unknowingly, tell me to stay here and forget the world. That’s why I run to it when I need that urge to break free, unwind myself from this materialistic world, to come in a state of blissful happiness. In this state of mind I feel that my creative mind is on its prime, clouded with endless ideas and themes which is what I am always looking for as a designer. The outburst of creativity, ideas and energy to create something new.
As a creative person I see lot of similarities between sea, sand and fashion. From my imaginative point of view sea shows us how to welcomes changes in life, discard the old, embrace the new, and run headlong down an immutable course. Every wave of the ocean dies or gets merged into the sand the moment it reaches the shore to give way for the new wave to came in, similarly an existing fashion trend or style goes out of vogue to give way for new one to come in. I feel the sensuous and shiny movement of the waves can be seen in a nice flow of chiffon or satin fabric, the harsh and strong look of ocean can be felt in a very well structured leather jacket. Enormous similarities and countless examples to prove it which will be infinite.
That was my creative world, coming back to our own materialistic world, one thought that I would like to share which I have tried to share through this shoot, where the look and styling has been kept very close to nature with neutral color pallet and minimalistic accessory . As ocean says enjoy the nature, see it, feel the beauty but preserve it, I dream that fashion also becomes like that, inspired by nature, which feels soothing to the eyes and it preserve its sources and make it an eco- friendly, sustainable fashion which is the need of the hour and I feel as small part of this fashion world it’s my duty towards the society.

I hope you liked it.

Until my next post
